There are several nice looking bags for a Sportster, but you need ones for an Iron, sorry.

Geez man...let up on it already. Simply stating Iron is much easier than stating the year, model, engine size bla bla bla...

Would you rather they all call them 200? XL883N?

Why are you so afraid of the Nightster/Iron craze?

Totally agree. The N models need different bags anyway because you can't relocate the turn signals because of the side plate. I don't see the big deal here or other posts about N models either.

None of the standard bags for the sporties fits the Ns. The side mounted license plate precludes this. And HD, in all of their wisdom, hasn't offered a relocation kit for us to do it. So N owners are stuck looking bags that are specifically designed to fit an Iron or a Nightster. I didn't realize this when I bought mine...or I wouldn't have. Same reason I raised my brow at the new wide glide...it's got the same lame side plate.

And I don't think people really understand just how many things in the catalog say "except 883/1200N" when you look for accessories. That's why so many folks come to the forums and ask for help. Because some things will fit, but HD would have you believe it won't or they haven't taken the time to establish the configuration of preexisting parts that will. I know that on my Iron, I can't simply swap to stock 883 type bars, because everything is shorter. I can't even slap on a Nightster bar. It sucks.

Hey ease up on poor Ol ChARLEY. Maybe one day he'll have what he obviously wants ... an IRON or Nightster.
