All, I have seen many ask about extending their controls on 2004 and up Sporties, at one time I had a post in the sticky section for mods of the ones I built for my 2007 1200C. I am doing this again so all can see what I did and make their own if they wish. Keep in mind that you need V&H pipes or other brands that pull the front header pipe back from the stock location to go 5". Parts can be ordered from www.mcmaster.com, check prices there as they have probably changed but when I fab'd mine it cost about $50. Increasing the angle in my drawing will shorten the extension and decreasing it will increase it. You just have to play with it.
I hope other tall riders might find this helpful. If you can drill 3 holes and do some welding you can enjoy this bracket design. It ditches the old cast frame bracket, reusing all the pegs, brake pedals and shift pedal that came on your forward controls.

Reason: To detail years for mod.
Has anyone ever tried just reversing the left and right mounts. As is they are curved back, if you switch them from left to right they will be curved forward. Just a thought. I may try it this weekend just to see.

Well, I found a set of +2 forwards at midwest motorcycle supply. $355. Holy S*&%. Looks like I'll be taking your shop drawing to the fab table and makin a set of my own. Thanks for the info. Problem is, I'm not so fond of the idea of welding a section into the original brake linkage. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a stock or aftermarket brake llinkage that will add 5" to my brake link. I found a bunch of aftermarket shift linkage to do that side, but none for brakes.

I found it easier to move the master cylinder instead.
