All, I have seen many ask about extending their controls on 2004 and up Sporties, at one time I had a post in the sticky section for mods of the ones I built for my 2007 1200C. I am doing this again so all can see what I did and make their own if they wish. Keep in mind that you need V&H pipes or other brands that pull the front header pipe back from the stock location to go 5". Parts can be ordered from www.mcmaster.com, check prices there as they have probably changed but when I fab'd mine it cost about $50. Increasing the angle in my drawing will shorten the extension and decreasing it will increase it. You just have to play with it.
I hope other tall riders might find this helpful. If you can drill 3 holes and do some welding you can enjoy this bracket design. It ditches the old cast frame bracket, reusing all the pegs, brake pedals and shift pedal that came on your forward controls.
You are definitely on to something here! I see you have been asked to email the drawings. This could get tiresome, because I too would like the drawings. I'm wondering if you could set up something with Pay Pal, or whatever so we could at least reimburse you for you time, if not your idea.
Another thought: If you could post some photo's in detail that would be clear enough to print out, I wonder if you would consider the honor system. You can bet I'd gladly send you ten bucks. Or, is that fair?
Please think about it. This may be how other parts guys got rich.
Looking forward to your reply

Next Day Edit:
Okay, so now you know about my three digit IQ...85.2.
Of course you posted all the information necessary. I was just too stoopid to recognize it. Ive printed in out, and will take it too my local machine shop. (You don't think I would attempt this...I can't even find the friggin' instructions until a day later).
You are a great resource here. Thanks.

Here are some pics from my extended controls. Like Nevets61, but used a gusset on the inside corner & radiused the corners & covered w/ some thickened epoxy to give it more of a cast shape.
