Default Chopping stock fender? Nightster...

I was wondering if anyone has chopped the rear fender on their Nightster? any pics? Did u also cut and shorten the frame rails next to the rear fender, where the tail lamps, and license plate are. I want to attempt this mod but need some ideas. I am trying to acheive a high cut fender look on the rear tire. I know if i cut to much the frame rails have to be cut so it doesnt look wierd. Thanks

Nice looking rides fellas.... I like the set up goinsideways136, so I assume u also cut the frame rails. How did u fill the hole for the PCM?

This is what mine looked like with the struts before I cut the fender.

This is a view of the ECM hole.

The flat side of this hole is what I used for the cut line. I cut the front of the fender off (a little over 11") and rotated the fender forward. In that same pic you can see where the seat bolted just behind the ECM hole. I enlarged this hole and re-used the fender mount bushing here and bolted it to where the fender bolted originally.

Drilled holes in the sides and took the legs off of the turn signals...used the turn signals to bolt the fender on the sides.

...after I cut about 8" off of the frame...

NICE!!!!! MREED, it gives me a little more guidance on what the hell I am doing on a bike I still owe money on.... So I assume that you acheived your stance in the last pic by using your adjustable struts? Thanks for the pic detail and explaination...

I didn't do anything as extreme as the above posts... But I did recently do a
2" chop on the rear fender.... Without modifying anything else on the rear end... Just realized that I haven't added the pics to my gallery yet.... I will try to do this when I get home from work
