Ok, so one of the 1stSgt's at my battalion has told me that he will help me rejet my Sportster (and looked at me like I was retarded when I asked "You know how to do it?"), and I was wondering what size should I get? My bike came with 1 3/4" Cycle Shack drag pipes, but the previous owner kept the stock breather and jets. Also, what would you guys recommend for a high flow breather? I was thinking of just getting the Screamin' Eagle. Thanks in advance!

Hah, my bad. It's an 06 1200 Custom, only mods so far are the pipes that came on it and Progressive shocks (lowered, handy for my short ass at 5'6). Does the DynoJet kit come with multiple sizes? And would I be just as happy with K&N over the Screamin' Eagle?
I would advise against the Dynojet kit. If I remember correctly they are like $80, when all you really need are the jets, which are a couple bucks a pop. As far as which sizes to use, Im not sure about the 1200, but if you were to search around to forums I am sure you will find the recommended sizes, that is what I did. One more thing, someone the SE kit will either confirm this or blow it up, but I'm pretty sure the K and N filter element is made for the SE backplate, that way youre in 130 for the SE setup, but you would still need to get the K and N element.

Ok, the Harley shop guy recommended doing a high flow air kit along with the jets. What are the actual parts that I would need, just the jets themselves? I am really not a mechanical person at all.
The dynojet kit comes with stuff you won't use, the Thunder Nozzle, etc. and doesn't come with the low speed jets. It also replaces the spring on the piston slide with a weaker spring to help open faster. It will come with a 160, 170, 180 and 190 main jet. Instructions say 160 for stock 170 for new air cleaner or exhaust 180 for both and 190 for internal mods. Obviously these are just a starting points.
You'll probably want to change out your low speed jet also. I believe the 1200 comes stock with a 45, you probably want a 46 or a 47. Buy both and see which one is best. Save the 45 and give it to someone with an 883 since that's the one they probably want to upgrade to. The only place I've seen the low speed jets for sale individually is J&P.
I had my Stage 1 done at the local dealer at 3,000 miles. The stock jets were #42 Slow and #180 Main. The dealer changed the Slow to a #48 and the Main to a #190. The Jet needle was also changed to the NOKH. I purchased the CVH Jet Kit XL Series by Keihin, makers of the HD carb, from the dealer for $39.00 (still have all the original and unused jets and needle laying around).
I went to the dealer for warranty purposes. I would definately go to an indy shop if I were to do it again. The cost would probably be about half of a Harley shop, and they are more lenient when it comes to parts that are really needed ... and not just making a sale.
Mileage now is anywhere from 44 (cooler temps) to 48 MPG (warmer temps) depending on weather conditions ... not much difference from stock. I never did get the claimed 52 MPG even when the bike was new.

My DS "No hassle jet kit costs $33 at the local HD dealer and includes a needle, which I wouldn't mess with. 2 low speed jets, 2 high speed jets and recomendations on what jet to use for your stage of mods. I would also recommend a E.Z. adjust Idle jet needle. It cost about $20 and lets you easily adjust your idle mixture with everything assembled.
I like my S.E. aircleaner, haven't looked into a K&N element for it yet.
