Default carb remove

I cant see to get the clamp loose to get carb off. It needs cleaning. Thanks for any help. chinist (1997 sportster 883xl HUG)

my manual says they stopped using clamps in 1990. I have a 99 883/1250 custom. My carb just pulls off. better check or replace the gasket between the carb and the intake manifold. It could be bad if someone felt the need to clamp it.

don't know what year but, mine is an 04' and it just pulls of... gently rock it up and down, side to side while pulling on it.
