Just got mine on a week ago. I LOVE THEM. Still getting used to them. The bike does feel different. Much more comfortable.

I did mine this winter. 16's on a 2" riser. I LOVE them! IMO WAAYY more comfortable than the stock bars. My back and neck prefer sitting up straighter.
Good luck!

Anyone know a good place with decent prices to pick up some 12-16 ape hangers and black cables to go with them. I have a 2007 sporster 1200 xlc with stock handle bars.

Depends on your height.

I'm 6'1" and running a set of dyna 12" on 7" risers which puts the grip height 1-1/2" below shoulder level for me with an addtional 7" width on the bars allowing for more control. My buddies at 5'10" find it too tall for them.

Ideally, you want that 1 - 2" below shoulder height to keep blood flowing properly. Above shoulder height and you start running into circulation issues: for those who want to argue that fact, have a little chat with your MD about circulation on raised arms... I like having the additional width on my bars and it is something you should consider if you're having bars built for you.

As for riding with them, I find it much more relaxing. I'm not hunched over the beach bars anymore and have a much more upright posture. I find I can go all day without having the back cramp up. Now, I just have to get a bit more padding in that C&C low profile seat I put on there...
