Default 77 Sportster oil lines

I know this has been hashed over several times, but I still need some very SPECIFIC answers. I'm rebuilding the whole bike, so no oil lines are on it now. Engine has been rebuilt, and I've fitted a custom horseshoe oil tank. My question......

The oil pump itself has TWO 3/8ths fittings, One is facing rearward and slightly down toward the center of the bike. This, I take, is the FEED. There is another 3/8ths fitting from the forward part of the oil pump that extends vertically toward the ground. This one, again my take, is the return.

There are two other fittings. One of these should be the vent. One, a 3/8ths fitting, is directly in front of the front sprocket. It is a 90 degree elbow facing downward. There is one other 1/4inch fitting directly behind the rear cylinder (on top of the tranny area) facing vertically upward.

So, questions... which of the fitttings away from the oil pump is the vent? As then what is the other one? And are my assumptions of the FEED and RETURN correct?

Obviously, you just need to overlook the aftermarket parts in the diagram...but this should get ya close.

It still does not address the additional fitting just forward of the oil pump! &nbsp\\; &nbsp\\;

Which one?&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Is it in this picture?

Or are you talking about one of these?&nbsp\\; (on the oil pump itself)

&nbsp\\; In 77, the shift linkage was moved over to the left side, so in your first pic, the clutch cable is on the other side. I've identified the crankcase breather tube, and the oil pressure switch. The fitting that I can't figure out is a 3/8ths, extending vertically downward and it is just barely to the right of the forward part of the oil pump (not in line with the pump). It threads into the bottom of the engine case.
