no...the original was cut and bent into shape and then lowered close to the tire....to completely lose the dirt bike look.

screamin' eagle heavy breather

i'm thinking twice about the heavy breather tho...i might return and go with the big sucker, mainly to get a round cover...dunno yet

next up will be forward controls, apes, maybe some white walls and taking off the front fender....goin' bobber!![8D]

BUT, i am taking the advice of some of the board members here, as well as some other biker friends and driving it stock at least a little while before i start modifying her. other than dirt bikes wheni was a young(er) lad, this is going to be my first real bike. the stealer actually offered me to put on all the parts at a very reasonable price and have her all ready to go when i pick her up, but he even suggested i take her home stock after i told him this is my first bike. i don't want to be that guy that goes full throttle out of the dealership right into the harley-davidson sign. sooo...i'd suggest that to you too. i bought this bike at the beginning of this deployment and have been thinking about it this WHOLE time....so there is no sense in me tricking her all out and making her to hott to handle! you took a good first step tho...the guys n galson this forum havebeen pretty helpful answering all my rookie questions and i'velearned ALOT. good luck...hope to see some picks in the next few months...look out for mine!
hey man I just happened to have been deployed for the last 6 months and just bought a nightster.. I've been researching what I want to do with it and decided go rigid too! crazy, i was just looking through the topics, saw yours and gave it a look. let me know how your endeavor goes. weird how close our situation is.
where you from?
