We made it home in good shape Sunday after a couple of hard, hot runs on I-10 back to south Texas. There's just one word for the ride - WOW. It was well organized, lots of neat sites and stops, great bunch of people and fun. Carol took lots of pictures, but we need to screen them out before posting.

Headed home today. Texas is hot hot hot! I used ice water to wet down our clothes yesterday afternoon while riding. And, for the record, I think I have been converted! The first couple hundred miles of FLAT LAND seemed so boring to me; I kept looking for the next big curve or mountain!
I decided to view my fear of heights relating to riding the mountains this way:
Courage is being afraid, but saddling up and riding anyway...
Enjoy your day all! I can't wait to go pick up my 'ol puppy dog (better known as pain in the butt!)
Pam... I totally get it!! I'm scared to death of heights, but the ride needs to have twisties in it!! Straight, flat riding has it's moments... but twisties make the ride!!
Phoenix Rider and I arrived home safe and sound at about 12:45pm (CST) today, 3094 miles yee haaa !! We had sooo much fun. I rode a couple of my favorite hill country roads on the way home....after Rocky Mountain Twisties....they were a little anti-climatic....
You are all some GREAT People...We felt like we had known you for years !! Looking forward to spending more time with ya'll in the future...but until then, the Forum will have to do.
