Thumbs up Softail Slim Windshield (Pics)

Well, I finally caved in and bought a windshield for my Slim. Between the 25 mile interstate commute to work each way and the fact that most of my riding is on the highway, I needed something to take the wind pressure off my chest. Also, since I am getting 12" apes installed next week, this was just one more reason to get a windshield.

I went ahead and ordered the Memphis Shades Nigh Shade 15" Slim windshield along with the black trigger lock mount kit.

The part numbers are as follow:
Black trigger lock kit - 2320-0091
15" Night Shade Slim - 2313-0104

After my first ride with it yesterday, I forgot how much I missed having a windshield! I had a detachable windshield on my Sportster that stayed mounted most of the time. I'm 5' 10" and I can see clearly over the top and if I slouch down, then my line of sight will be through the shield.

Did I mention it looks pretty good?

Looks good . I hated putting one on my Fatboy but it is more about function than looks . Mine looks the same lower half black . Your trim is black mine is brushed aluminum .I like the black.

The black definitely makes it look good. It doesn't stand out too much.

I think it looks great. Particularly with the black shading.

From Dennis Kirk.

I was torn between the 15" Slim and 13" Fat windshield. I'm glad I went with the 15".
