A while back I remember seeing a picture of a softail that had the fangs attached to the quick detach windshield brackets so that everything came off in one piece. I spent the last two days looking through all the fang threads hoping to find this picture but I'm not having any luck. Has anyone else done this? or know which member has? thanks in advance

 

It was Joe from Powder Pro but it was on a Dyna. I forget Joe's handle here but that's a good start.

I believe I saw Joe's yesterday. He made them from parts from Home Depot. The one I'm referring to was on a softail and used the Harley deflectors.

I made a set from 1/8" aluminum and Lexan. It's not a good picture, but they helped a bit when the temps got below 20 degrees. Still, I had some buffeting.

 

I recently started digging again to find these pictures and am happy to report that I was successful.

 

Now, how is that done?

 

The deflectors show below do not look like the HD softail deflectors.
Either they're a different brand, or they're for a different model.
I'll add a picture of my softail lower wind deflecors for reference.
It's easy to see the "bar and shield" on the HD version.
