Default Lowering front and 21inch wheel question

Hey everyone, it's been a while. Here is the deal...

I want to order a 21" fat daddy spoke wheel for the front of my fatboy, but I don't want the bike to sit any higher then already does. Will lowering the front have any effect on adding the 21" wheel?

I want the bike to sit as low as it does when it's strapped down as shown on pic below.

To keep the stock ride height, you have to lower the front 1.5" with a 21" wheel. I lowered mine 2" and put a 21" on it. I like it and haven't had any clearance issues yet.

that's exactly the info I was looking for.

My local dealer recommends the Progressive Monotube Cartridge kit, compare to the spring kit. I'm being told that it will help with handling. They are also pricing out the job to about $600. I know they have to take apart the whole front but is that a reasonable price?

Thanks

To get the low look i think your talking about 2" isnt going to get it if your adding a 21 to the front. i cant post a pic of my bike but think you can see it in my album i have a 23 on the front and had to change fork tubes and cut springs

If you have a cycle jack the job of removing the wheel and opening up the forks and changing the springs or installing the tubes is simple. I lowered my front with the drop in kit this past winter and it took myself and a buddy about 90 minutes total.

I am not certain but I think I read where the 21" will not fit under the stock fender of the Fatboy. It will Deluxe and Heritage.

Lol at spending 600 on a monotube. Kit. I paid 170 plus the fork oil which you only need one bottle. Took 3 hours and no special tools. It's literally as easy as doing a fluid change and tune up. Just saying.

You just need to run fender adapters. I picked mine up for 100 bucks on Amazon. I plan to run a deluxe fender in the winter.
