Default Rear fender kits that work with 05 softail standard

I've been looking for quite a while for some rear fender kits for my 05 softail standard and still haven't found one that I like enough to pull the trigger on yet. I don't want to convert to a 200 rear tire, I just want a fender that'll hug my 150 nicely and I don't want to convert to a sprung seat either. I really like the looks of the Heartland Wild Heart but can't bring myself to spend $1600. And I'm not a huge fan of the seat. Looking at buying a La Pera bare bones solo.

So far I've looked at:
Heartland USA
Roland Sands
Shadetree fabrications
and some other I didn't like too much and can't remember the names of

Just wondering what you guys are running. Brand names/links would help out if you can supply them.
(on the off chance..) Anyone live in the Tampa Bay Area and know of a shop that'll do quality work?

I'm in the same boat as you.

I think there is a possibility that the Softail Slim or Blackline rear fender and struts should fit a 05 and below Softail because they have the narrow rear tire.

Other than that I've thought about chopping the stock fender to look more like a breakout fender or have a custom fender and struts made so I can keep using the bare bones seat I have.

Take a look at Dennyo's chopped fender which is the cheapest way to go or you could try this German outfit, not sure if they're any different to Heartlands though.

Thanks for the links. Not exactly what I am looking for but I do appreciate the help. I ran across this website earlier and have shot them an email. They have pictures on the website of the fender but not mounted on a bike.

Also, http://www.customchrome.com/dcm/cc/v...ckySucker.html
makes a pretty cool set up "lucky sucker" but the fender needs struts and the curved ones they sell look like crap

I'm going for a shorter/smaller fender than what I already have. Something as close to the Heartland USA kit as I can get without spending $1600/converting to a bigger tire or converting to a sprung seat

That looks pretty good. Is that bike lowered at all?
