I just put the QQ's in the Double Barrels & oh my! If you want them louder install them near the end of the pipe. Deeper sound & more torque 5-8" into the pipe. I finished installing mine at 11:30PM last week & rolled down the driveway at 11:31.

Here's a pic of the DB's on the Heritage.

I also have double barrel's on my Deluxe. What product QQ product number did you order? Can you give more some more insight as to how the pipes sound now versus when you had the DB's with the OEM baffles installed and how the QQ baffles sound as compared to the regular BCT baffles. Thanks.

BCT QQ 1994's. I put them in 5.5" from the end of each pipe. I have to say the are louder in a good way, deeper sounding & just awesome now. And I can feel a little extra punch too!

I took the Heritage to work today & a chopper guy that works downstairs said to me "holy shit, your bike sounds awesome, nice very low rumble, what did you do to it".

OK, so I have V&H pipes on my fatboy. I bought the bike used so I don't know what the pipes are. They look like stepped drag pipes or straightshots, how do I tell and how do I get the baffles out? I can see a screw that is a few inches in from that end of the pipe. I hear you guys all talking about the heat shields and clamps? I don't see that? Also does anyone have these and if so how did they sound with the monster baffles. I like the sound with the stock V&H baffles but am looking for a little louder and a little meaner does that sound about right?
How do you put a picture in the post? Sorry I need some forum training wheels...
Thanks
Joe

Here are db ratings from Steve Darrow at Vance & Hines, Santa Fe Springs, CA:
Double Barrel Longs with LOUD V&H baffles: 95 db
Long Shots, stock (won't fit my '09): 100 db
Big Shots Long, stock: 105 db
Didn't get number for Big Shots Staggered.
QUESTION: Which of the 4 pipes above do you think will sound best with Thunder Monster baffles?

They will all sound great but anything over 100db will be very LOUD! I think my Big R's are 105+ & they rumble with the QQ's. The Double Barrels also sound great but not quite as loud as the BR's. Also there is a difference at idle between the TC88 & 96. I always thought the 96 sounded like crap at idle but the QQ's really helped out there. Still not as slow as the 88 but much better then before. If you want very LOUD, go with 105+ DB's. The 95-98 DB gange with the QQ's will rock at slower speeds but quiet down on the highway a bit. You still will know they are there for sure.
