Easy off oven cleaner. Get the bike hot spray it on, wipe it off. It works.

Make sure you don't get the stuff on your engine or paintwork!

If this doesn't work I have heard that easy off does to answer your question. Just don't get it on the paint.

Get a razor blade and carefully trim off the big chunks. The use #0000 steel wool. Takes a while but it works.

I have used a mild rubbing compound on mine a half dozen times. It still a lot of work but it hasn't hurt the chrome. Just wax it when you are done.

And YES that burned on polyester is a bitch to get off. It takes a lot of rubbing but it will come off with rubbing compound. Do not use the rough stuff, only a mild compound. I use Turtlewax T-230 Rubbing Compound, water and a soft rag.

It helps to have a cold brew handy.

This is the best suggestion yet!

PS I'm thinking about stealing "it ain't rocket science, son...it's a Harley."
and using it in my sig, but to be fair I'd probably use it like this
