Default Cruise Control - 08 FatBoy

Any way to add Cruise Control to an 08 FatBoy? If TMC puts it on touring, why not softails?

rayvrwc, the reason harley does not put it on the softails, is because in 08 the touring line went to throttle by wire. where there are no throttle cables, just wires to a stepper motor on the throttle body. the older 07 and earlier cruise might work, but how, i don't know. that's beyond my pay grade.

i also saw a kit that uses the GM cruse control. I replaced my cruse control on my GM truck with a used one for about $35

My 05 Road King has cruise. There's something like an extra gizmo on the throttle cable. Not really sure how it works but I'm sure you could find a kit. Personaly I don't think it's worth the extra cost. Came standard on my bike but I rarely use it. The little throttle lock knob, like on the other bikes, works fine for brief moments of left hand riding.
