Hi,
I just started to notice an oil leak on the floor of the garage. It is coming from the top of the forward cylander head at the left corner. It only leaks when it is turned off after riding. It drips onto the left corner of the regulater and then drips down the left bar of the frame. Very little leaks, but it does leak consistantly after every ride. Is that a gasket issue? The paper gasket issue I have been told dealing with a 1999 and older evolution motor? Can you stop the leak any way without having to replace the gasket? If you must replace the gasket, what would be a reasonable cost? Thank you in advance, Steve R. Indianapolis, IN

Accucast....You need a new gasket. Dont try and do any weird chit to yer' scoot. Get it fixed right. Sounds like you have a Rocker Box gasket gone south on ya.
The gasket costs essentially nothing and youre looking at a few hours labor...Try a local Indy as they will do it cheap. You have good a service manual and crafty enough to retorque things correctly? You could also do it yerself if youre so inclined.....
