Default 3" Open Belt Primary Drive

im planning on getting a 2010 softail custom after i get out of basic training, and i cam across Exile cycles and found that they have a 3" open belt primary drive, and i was curious if anyone has feedback from it? or any other open drive? i have had a few friends say good and bad things about open primary(ies?) so just curious as to what you guys think.

Never did anything for me, especially on a softtail. I kind of reserved those for the hardtail chopper guy's. That said, your vote is the one that counts.

yeah i just want to see some input before i actually go get it and find out some stuff i could of found out by asking. everything has a good and bad side, better to know the bad side before you get the good side so you can fix it. but its just a thought

It's a looks thing ya know! Hard edge which takes alot work to pull it off on a modern cruser with a few bolt ons. I say do all your mods first then see if it fits your ride. Have fun!

I want to know how dennyo got some vid of my wifes ass?

I like the look but not sure it the look is worth the cost - over a grand right? Is there a performance advantage or just show no go?

Lockdude makes a great point about no starting with that mod. Think about all the shit you can do for that coin?

to me it depends on the bike. some bikes they look cool and some they dont do anything. you can get a BDL for under $900.00 on ebay, new. the only problem with BDL is that a good number of them have problems3-open-belt-primary-drive-belt-cover-done-2.jpg with the jackshaft engaging but theres a outfit that sell a bullet-proof jackshaft that corrects the problem, at least thats what i had to do for mine.
