7 gears and still no OD gear. I wish they would make one with a 1:1 6th and a slight overdrive in 7th for crusing, these bikes all make plenty of torque to pull down the road at a lower RPM considering my 5 speed has a 1:1 5th probably just a higher finial drive than the 6 speed bikes do.

Even though the 7th gear is still only a 1:1 ratio its a direct drive from the primary, hence the DD part. If you look at the ratio and rpm charts on bakers site the seventh gear gives a lower rpm than the HD sixth. Supposed to be smoother also.

81 Honda CB 900 Custom had a dual range 5 speed transmission .. 10 speeds.

I have a two speed in my bike "Fast and Stop".

Check out the Engine threads. I believe that Dalton has one in his '07 UC.......to go along with his Head Quarters 120" motor.
