Default Softtail throttle cable adjustment

I have a 2000 Softtail Standard (FXST). Can you adjust the "free travel" for the throttle cable? I feel THE throttle grip / cable has just too much travel.

Thanks,
Swamp-Rat

Just pull back the rubber boot about halfway down the cable by the front down tube, get a couple or wrenches and adjust it. It is very simple.

he said throttle not clutch. Still same idea. Right at the controls though. Two cables. Make small adjustments and check to make sure it doesn't bind when turned to lock left or right.
