Default Replacing the horn with a Siren...

So I am seeking feedback on the replacing the horn with a siren. Another fellow I ride with has done this and it is so cool. My main concern is that I will do something stupid like use the siren in front of a cop and get a fix it ticket. I guess that isn't so bad, but if I can control my impulses I'll be fine. What do you guys think about this?

We don't have a state inspection in CA.

I voted option #1, but you must promise to give the details when you get pulled over. Who knows you may even get to be on TV with the whole LA force in pursuit of you with your siren blaring down some freeway! I understand your cops don't have the greatest sense of humor though and you really may want to reconsider. Maybe train horns!

The Dutch & Germans go mad on these things! I've got one in the garage, but they're big lumps to fit & the wiring is a 'press & hold' style, rather like the horn.

Once you've camped at a rally with the buggers going round & round until daylight, trust me you'll never think they're cool again!!

The siren is going on tomorrow. It's sitting right here on my desk. We'll have to see how this goes. And...it does NOT come with a badge.
