Best rear Tire for 2007 fatboy?

i had the 150/80 metzler on the front and it was great but steering was a little harder. i went to the 120 because the dealer did not have the new 130/60. That will be my next front tire. did you say you have 18in front tire?

i can tell you the 150/80 from metzler is the tallest size that fits under the fender.
26.73 in. a 27 would rub. are you staying with radials?

for the front: 130/70 18 metzler or 130/80 dunlop, the 70 will handle better

tk353,is the metzeler 140/80vb17 a radial,would you recomend it with the 210/50r17?,how much belt clearance is there with the 210 rear,I need good wet weather tires,what do you think????

there is 1/4 in belt clearance with 210 but it clears. 140/80vb17 is not a radial

I don't have a fat boy, but I run Met's on my Night Train. Here is a pic of the clearance between the 210 and the belt. This is my 2nd Metz and I won't go back to Dunlop. It is close, but no rubbing. I have not tried Avons, but I'm also curious as to how they compare to the Metzlers.

You sure know your tires! Based on your advice, I told my son to buy a Metzler rear tire for his '08 Fatboy... How many miles do you have on your '07?

Ok I ordered the PM wheels. Got the Wraths and going with the Cobra Avons.


The front is a 130/70/18 the rear is a 200.
