Default strutless fender?

Does anyone have any experience with strutless fenders? Any opinions good or bad state them here. Playing with the idea of a new fender for that more custom look.

Shoot a pm to Willyp. He won BOTM a month or so back with his Train that sports a strutless fender. Probably not the best fender if you plan on riding 2-up.

I have one where the stuts are built onto the fender. Only problem I see is that you have to cut the frame horns off, and if you want that fender to sit on that tire as far as possible then you really cant mount the fender down lower and all you can do is keep lowering the bike. Other than that its really strong and have no problems. I just took 6" of the rear to make it shorter.

Hey Chrome, can we get a pic of your bike so we can see how close it is to your tire?
Thanks.
Lundee, your fender looks pretty low on the tire, or am I just not looking at it right?

im running the pro street from RWD with flush mount weld in LED cat eye brake light/turn signal, they come in 3 different styles. the struts are welded to the inside of the fender along with a steel tube to protect the brake wires. the cat eye wire harness was very easy to install to the stock wire harness and all the hardware, load equalizer, connectors and template to trim your plate is include. the quality is top notch.
