Just got my 1000 mile check,,,,,
 \\;\\\\\\;just asked if the decel pop and girggle is normal. I have sert and stock head exhaust, w/rush slip ons,. its something I have to live with, or get a new exhaust system and dyno it.
 \\;\\\\\\;
Harley told me its normal, and it would most likely not go away until I dyno tune,
Try this before the dyno. Pull your plugs, take the plugs to the dealer or an indy. Have them look at the plugs and give you an opinion on whether or not it is running lean. If it is then you might want to rejet your carb. My Fatboy popped pretty bad on decel, I rejetted and it quit. Also a rejet is is simple, and if you do it yourself it is ridiculously cheap.
When you installed the Rush slip-ons, did you reuse the clamps? If so, you may have an exhaust leak at the joint. I believe Harley advises to replace clamps anytime the current ones are removed. When I had my 1K mile service performed at the dealer, they installed Screamin Eagle slip-ons and reused the clamps. I gradually began to experience exhaust gurgle, and decel popping as you described. I did my own 5K mile service and replaced the clamps. The problem was instantly solved.

615hd, good luck. I have v&\\;h br 2-1's no decel pop until I had it dyno'd, and now it pops on decel all the time. I've took it back twice now and the dyno man said he would tweak it a little more, but doubted he could get it all out. More power on paper, but I liked it better before the tune, with no pop.

Uh, lol there dixie! 2008 X-bones. Stock fuel injection.
this may be a stupid question but was it dyno'd when you got the Sert? \\; if not then just a good dyno will fix it, poping on decel \\;is not normal.
