Default RE: Popping, girggle, decel, exhaust?? Normal ??

I too have experienced this popping and an occasional BACKFIRE.... I just got it back from the 1000 mile service and they installed the SERT and Hi-flow, and tuned it all at the same time.&nbsp\\; I installed the big radius 2+2 myself though before taking to them but I did replace the clamps and used the new ones.&nbsp\\; I wonder if I took it back to the dealer if they would re-dyno for free???
Suggestions???

Backfire actually comes out of the induction side of the systemas it's firing back thru the carb or fuel injection. This problem was more prevalant on the old choke um and kick starter Hogs of the past.&nbsp\\;And&nbsp\\;only during start up. It's a common mistake to call a "BIG BANG" out of the exhaust side a back fire.

Just a thought, I also have a Yamaha Virago that pops on decel, but that IS normal for these bikes with the epa required air pump, it activates when you decel to pump air into the exhaust and with the heat, this causes any unused fuel to burn which results in the pop.&nbsp\\;

All this to say you may have a leak and getting oxygen into your pipes.&nbsp\\;

Hey, guys thanks for the feed back, I will look into all the suggestions, I eventually want a louder pipe, and will probably hold off spending the cash for the dyno,,, for now.
