Default RE: nacelle or factory headlight?

Keep the Nacelle, as a matter of fact, that is next on my list of major mods. I want to add the chrome forks at the same time.

Definately keep the nacelle. It was the first thing I did to my 04 Fatty... before I even started it.

actually springerdude it's "peekon" prononced pee-kawn, which is cajun for thorn or spike.LOL

thanks for the compliments and the comments everyone.

One of the main reasons i thought about changing was the fit of the nacelle. it does not fit with the fork tbe covers or bells or whatever they are called, that well. the fit was better on the old bikes. i've tried every adjustment there is but it just won't go lower. most people don't notice unless you show them but it bugs me.

Bueautiful bike...shows pride of ownership. However, the headlight looks out of proportion to the rest of the bike. I would go back to original, or something smaller.

No, I made this mistake. Trim ring for original light is #69626-99, for nacelle it is #69627-99

I say stick with the nacelle.

On a side note, does anyone know if the nacelle is compatible with the headlight visor ring that Texas Fat Boy mentioned? I've got a nacelle comming myself and really want to put both the nacelle and the trim ring on, but haven't researched if the two can fit together or not.

Thats right you have to get the trim ring that is compatible with the HD nacelle as they do differ.Keep the nacelle and get the trim ring or the visor trim ring.

can you post a pic of the fitment issue? This may help me make my decision as to go with the nacelle or not.

Go with your gut. Sounds like you really want to change it back. If you don't, it will eat at you. I would say swap it and see how you feel about it. Personally, I prefer the factory headlight look better.
