I have a 2007 SE Dyna. I have 25,000 km and not a leak...touch wood. I too have received the recall notice from my dealer and we decided that we'll leave it alone and monitor it for leaks this summer.

I received the letter from HD in Aug 08 so with the 2 year time period I should be able to go until Aug 2010 with my decision

Default 2008 cvo dyna se 110

For you poeple that say your happy, you won't be when you try to sell it . problem is your going to lose alot of money. they should recall all se cvo 's and put the 2009 motor on them and they will save alot of money in lawsuits , and make there customers that thought and paid for the best . if they got a problem i say " FIX IT " .

So is this issue resolved in 2009 SE engines? Does anyone have a 2009 with any issues? I have been thinking about a 2009 SE Road Glide. Any help would be appreciated.

I took my 07 SERK to the HD dealer on Sunday 5/17/09 to show them the rear cyl that is leaking again.
I have had the gaskets replaced 2 other times. I asked if they have a fix on this issue yet or do we just replace gaskets sets every 4000 or 5000 miles when it starts leaking again.
I have 25k on this bike.
The dealer came across as they all leak not just the SE110 motors.
I say Bull ****tt.
They gave me a note from Harley that stated how oil gets through the metal to metal areas and lets oil through.

The dealer will contact me when they talk to Harley.

I don't see a fix to this problem. If the last gaskets didn't work with no changes to the gaskets then what will fix the issue.
Maybe A different MOTOR?? or a different bike. A Honda??
I hope not.... I love this bike
I will keep you posted on this issue

Well now, I really hope the MoCo does the "right thing" regarding the SE bikes. Not only are they beautiful machines, they are pricey. But you guys already know that. It is just plain good business to do so.

Default Valve/lifter "clacking" in the 110 motor

I purchased 09 Screamin Eagle road glide. Valve/lifter clacking is pretty loud in first through third. I'm told it is normal. Any input would be great.
Thanks

I took delivery on my '09 SE Ultra 6/16/09. Just turned 5k miles on it. No problems at all. Another great Harley IMO.

I think it may be the injectors, not the valves.

Some guys need to remember that its tractor technology at indy car prices. But you have the baddest tractors money can buy.

I dont understand why some clowns want to sue over something the MoCo is fixing. Go buy a Dodge diesel and see if they will help with your problems. And trust me you WILL have problems. Some guys just have nothing better to do but bitch about everything.
