Trying to decide if we are going to head to Myrtle Beach Bike Week or Laconia. Any recommendations or helpful information regarding either? Thanks.
June is a tough time in New England. Early summer/late spring is usually pretty wet and rainy around here. I think it rained all but maybe 2 days of Bike Week this year.

Unless the laws change in Myrtle Beach after the elections today, there will not be a Bike Week. The vendors told me that they were not coming back because they could not afford the price for the license and then having to pay rent on the spots because there were not any bikers there to buy anything. Go to Laconia, but pack a real good rain suit.
There will still be a MBBW. Sure, it may not be as big as in the past, but bikers have been going for 7 decades and at least some will continue to go. As far as vendors are concerned, I could careless if they come or go. I don't need anymore t-shirts.

I will not return to MB until the unfriendly city administration gets booted out of office, they have done everything in their power to shut down bike week so why bother, i will spend my money where i am wanted.
Laconia is a good time with lots of great riding but like mentioned above, make sure you have a good rain suit.
Yeah they banned Bike Week in SC.....HOWEVER, the nice city of New Bern, NC picked it up. It should be starting up in 2010. I'm not too sure of the exact dates either but everyone was very excited about it. The weather is actually quite nice there in November too.

YES, this bike IS fuel injected
I like to make a third suggestion, try outer banks n.c. bike week. We have done MB a few times and had a great time but now its not worth the hassle. We have done the outerbanks three years in a row now (end of april), and this is just a smaller version of MB. Riding along rt.12 is awesome, everyone we met were very glad to see us there. The weather is great, the ocean is still cold though. There are a good amount of vendors and parties going on.
ill plug the family owned motel we stay out, the prices are right, its on the beach, they are bikers also, www.seafoam.com
