I got a sport tote trailer, $600 from a dealer in my area, pulled it 3 times back in the mid 90's with my yamaha venture, once to maine, once to yellowstone and one time camping for 10 years it has been sitting in the garage taking up space (i'm turning into a packrat like my dad!) I just didn't like pulling a trailer, if i was going to pull one i would go with the n-line if i had it to do over, they lean with the bike

have to agree with that, if you think you might need it, leave it, most motels have washers and dryers if not there is a laundry close its easyer to do the wash every few days than to drag a bike full of junk around makes getting ready to leave every morning harder plus if you do want to get that "world's bigest ball of twine" tee shirt you dont have room for it..
My dad and I spent 2 wks going from Mn to DC, then Nashville and home in 1979. He gave me a small area, told me if it fit I could take it. Have lived by that since - always leaving a bit of room for sovieners.
When I met hubby I remember him watching me bring stuff out to pack in my dyna saddle bags - "You won't be able to get all that in there" Yeap, watch me! LOL
Roll it tight, use ziplock bags to get the air out. etc.... I now have a RK - one side is bike and riding gear, other is clothes etc. Longer trips I take my pack. Only thing is I take my mini lap top - that takes up space.
I have a permanant list for long trips. Rain gear, medicines, glasses, charging cords, etc... I actually got it off the HD site. Saved it to word and adjust it for the trip

Pack light. Buy a new harley shirt every day. Then every couple days stop and pack the dirty shirts up and ship them back home. Jeans take 2 pairs wash the dirty pair every day etc. Bought new riding boots and sent the old ones home. etc, etc.
Three poly wicking T's and two pair of Levi's, 3 pair of wicking underwear like Ex Officio or REI and three pair of Poly/cotton blend socks. Wash when you can't stand the smell anymore. Can usually get 6 or more days of riding out of that set up before I have to do laundry. Depends on the weather and days out on the road as to how long I can go before doing laundry.
I just came out with this Leather Duffel,it has 2 heavy plastic D rings, and it will close like a dry bag. When not in use it rolls up to about the size of a pair of gloves. All of our items have free shipping thru the Holidays. Hope this helps
