Default NFL division winners.

Out of boredom I'll go ahead and try and predict the division winners for the 2009 season. I'm not going to explain each of my picks because that would take far too much effort but feel free to chime in with your thoughts.

AFC
East- New England Patriots
North- Pittsburgh Steelers
South- Jacksonville Jaguars
West- San Diego Chargers

NFC
East- Dallas Cowboys
North- Minnesota Vikings
South- Carolina Panthers
West- Arizona Cardinals

We'll see what happens. Go Steelers!

So we agree on 5 of the 8. We'll revisit this in a few weeks. Anyone else want to chime in?

AFC North
Steelers (Big Suprise eh?)

AFC South
Colts

AFC East
Dolphins

AFC West
Chargers

NFC North
Packers or Vikings (50/50 IMHO)

NFC South
Saints

NFC East
Eagles
(Giants maybe but I don't think they'll be same without Plexico)

NFC West
Cardinals

Wouldn't mind even seeing a Steelers/Cardinals SB again.

Bears finish third in their division. 1 and 2 after first three weeks. The Steelers will miss two chip shot field goals and lose to the Bears in week two 17 to 14. At least that's what I think.

Hmmmm...

AFC
EAST - Patriots (great offense questionable secondary)
North - Steelers (they are always good as much as I hate to admit that)
South - Colts (but not by much)
West - Broncos (out with the problem children makes them better)

NFC
East - Giants (better without Burress)
North - Bears (better with Cutler)
South - Falcons
West - Seahawks (apathy led me to flipping a coin here)

I agree with the exception of the AFC South and the NFC East.
I think Indianapolis will win the AFC south and the NFC East will be a tossup. I think any of the 4 teams could take it.

Now that the season is a quarter of the way into it I figured I revisit my predictions and show were the teams are.

AFC
East- New England Patriots - 2nd Place
North- Pittsburgh Steelers - 3rd Place
South- Jacksonville Jaguars - 2nd Place
West- San Diego Chargers - 2nd Place

NFC
East- Dallas Cowboys - 3rd Place
North- Minnesota Vikings - 1st Place
South- Carolina Panthers - 3rd Place
West- Arizona Cardinals - 2nd Place

Not too good, only 1 is currently winning that I predicted. I still feel confident in the Patriots and Chargers. Manning is looking unbeatable so the Jags may not pull it off. In the NFC the Cowboys are done, that's the Giants division to lose, Carolina won't catch the Saints either. I still have hope for the Cardinals.

It's a long season, we'll see.
