Do I agree with the call? It was very borderline on that regard, but it was, by definition of the rules, the right call.
And I know what a hold is and I too thought that call was boarderline and could've gone either way. Again I don't have a problem with the call, I only have a problem with the official that made the call. If the official in the back of the endzone made it then I would be saying nothing about it right now. The official that made this holding call however was 5-10 yards down field and the back of the defender was blocking his view... from his vantage point there is absolutely no way he could've seen a hold! At most all he saw was two players falling to the ground. The defender bull-rushed the center and tumbled over the top of him that in itself doesn't mean there was a hold.

About the last play... the fumble by Warner

NFL VP of Officiating Mike Pereira commented on the play to NBC:
"We confirmed it was a fumble. The replay assistant in the replay booth saw it was clearly a fumble. The ball got knocked loose and was rolling in his hand before it started forward. He has to have total control."

DevilsReject ,

I agree 100% with your well written explanation. Especially this:

"Basically, my whole complaint here is that the officiating is dictating the outcome of games, and in no way is it acceptable. Think about this, would you feel good about winning a game if you knew the refs handed you the win? Would you feel good about winning if you knew you cheated? I'm not calling the Steelers cheaters, but this is the only way I can explain it simply. "

Players should be allowed to dictate the end of the game. Referees, bad ones, can impact that, especially in a close game...which this was.

I'm sorry, the refs did not determine the outcome, you're beating a dead horse.

I agree, some questionable calls, some questionable non calls. They all evened out.

If the Cardinals would have played defense on that last drive you would be telling us how great that game was.

bad calls in every game and rarely can you say with any certainty if it change the outcome of the game... you simply cannot say it here either.

only games I know you can say that about this past season is the Broncos/Chargers game in either week 1 or 2? and the Steelers Ravens game in week 15. Although I think it was a TD the official on the field called it short and there wasn't enough evidence IMO to overturn the call made on the field. (see I can be objective & fair).
I call these as I see them and were there questionable calls/no calls in last nights game YES for both sides YES did it favor the Steelers NOT SO SURE. And you know what?, we could argue this all day... but is it going to change the fact that WE'RE SIX TIME SUPER BOWL CHAMPS BABYYYYYY!!!!!! Here we go Steelers... here we go!

Would be great to see a game where refeering was a non issue. It does happen from time to time. To let the game end on Warners incomplete pass is bad as it gets.

Still have yet to hear a word mentioned about the obvious hold during the interception run back for a TD.. I swear I was the only one who saw it 3000 times over.. Must be my TV, lol.. Still could care less I am a Patriot fan who is still brewing over last years game. When they were showing highlights of the game I was still hoping they could pull it off and win!
