Basis? Who needs a basis to file a lawsuit? This was in the news last week.........
"A group of illegal immigrants who worked for Wendy's International Inc. is suing the restaurant chain because the company fired them after discovering it had missed a deadline for joining a federal program that would have helped them attain legal status."
How ridiculous is that? What rights do illegal immigrants have that allows them to file a lawsuit in the United States? What's the basis for their lawsuit?
When it comes to a lawsuit against Harley Davidson, there are probably a number of things that could be used as a basis for a lawsuit. One of which is that a person who purchases a product can expect it to perform in a reasonable manner for which it was intended. Would it be that difficult to prove inherent differences in previous years compared to the 2007 models?
If HD is really looking to isolate the problem and find a fix, they need to stop playing games. It's like a shell game. Keep everything moving, don't let on like anything is wrong and maybe everyone will go away quietly. I can't blame them for wanting to make sure they locate the problem and find the right fix for it (if that's what they are actually doing), but why all the bullsh_t lies, playing dumb, etc.
Acknowledge the noise, document it and tell the people they'll look into it to determine if there's a problem, what's causing it, and hopefully a cure. Otherwise, lawsuits will appear if only out of frustration.
Exactly, if they were interested in taking care of us they would tell us. They are only concerned about themselves.

All I want is the same bike I had early on.Fix it,tell me a fix is coming-C/S says no,replace it with another or buy it back.I think thats pretty fair.Customer relations has said they will not.
It's definitely heat related, which makes me wonder. Has anyone who has had the clatter issue actually replaced some of these epa restriction stuff that makes our engine run hot? Such as complete exhaust, air cleaner, ECM etc. And if so did the clatter go away?
It definitely helps the problem with the things you listed. BUT it definitely doesn't eliminate the clatter. It's not as bad, but still there. It's hard to believe those lying in Milwaukee just keep saying there is nothing wrong with them. There are a lot of people in my area talking about this. Appears the word is getting around. Maybe somebody can get their attention and they will quit lying and find a fix.

The only thing that will get there attention is sales. That means this will be fixed once they start seeing a downward sales trend on thier fancy sales graph charts.
