Default TSSM security module key fob programing

i bought a 2008 ultra with the hands off key fob security module. the bozo that i bought it from lost the fob (we managed to roll it up onto the trailer for transport). i do have a new fob but the dealer is saying i need to bring it in and will cost about $35 to program the ecm/fob connection. is there any way for an individual to make this connection without going to a dealer and spending the $$$. thanks for any help.

Ther is no way for you to do it by yourself... It must be done at the dealer, unless you want to remove the Security Module, but that will cost a lot more than $35.....

Your lucky they can do it for 35.00 In the electrical manual it states: If both fobs are lost or damaged while the motorcycle is armed the TSSM must be replaced. I suggest you enter a PIN number when the dealer fixes your problem. That way if both fobs are lost you can still disarm the bike and assign new fobs with out visiting the dealer.
