LAST WEEKEND MY 02 ROAD KING STARTED LEAKING SOME OIL IN THE CARB AIR FILTER AREA. IT WOULD BLOW ALL THE WAY DOWN THE SIDE OF MY BIKE. IT LOOKS TO ME LIKE IT IS COMING OUT OF THE VENT HOSES FROM THE HEADS. DOES ANY ONE HAVE AN IDEA OF WHY THIS IS HAPPENING.
THANKS,
CODY

I JUST WENT TO THE HARLEY SHOP AND THEY TOLD ME THAT IS NORMAL. THEY SAID WHEN YOU RUN IT HARD IT CREATES A LOT OF AIR AND THAT IS THE RESULT. MY BIKE HAS 6K MILES ON IT AND IT HASN'T EVER LOST ANY OIL BEFORE. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THAT?
Donny Peterson from HD Cycle wrote a piece about this in American Iron Magazine (AIM) a few months back. It's a pretty common problem, but I suggest you read the full article for detailed information. If you don't get it, e-mail me and I will fax or mail you a copy.
