Okay here is a repost of my pic with someone famous, as requested. I just posted this in the "post a picture of yourself" thread that spawned this spin off thread.
So here it is again, Steven Tyler andthe then 22 year old NY Deuce hanging out in the VIP area at the 1988 MTV Music Awards show.
Greg Allman stole my lighter in 1985!(seriously)..
This was when he was down and out. He was playing at Baity's Backstreet in Winston Salem, NC and most people had already left because he was 2 hours late and looked like a no-show.
The band finally arrived and played to a crowd of around 20 people (myself included).
I was standing in front of the keyboard when he finished the set. He went to light a smoke but didn't have a lighter - I passed him my cheap novelty lighter(which actually said "Don't Let Your Meatloaf"..)
He lit his smoke stuck it in his pocket and walked backstage. I didn't ask for it back after they started playing again..
I've always wondered what he though when he got back on his bus and saw that logo on the lighter [8D]
Amy Honey, that was at his Fan Club Party in Nashville in 2003... before he was "famous". I actually kinda asked him out that day and he shot me down. Bet he's sorry NOW, Hahaha!!!
Here's another one from later that summer (even though I look fat in this pic)....
Met a few famous folks but, no camera at the time. Andrew Dice Clay at the mall of all places, Ruppert at a Dead show, Reggie Miller(PACERS) he was all over the place here, within 5 feet of Trent Reznor (NIN) at a place called EDEN that is now Seven, Dave Letterman at the speedway a few years ago when he started his race team , Sara Fisher(INDY CAR), a couple of seats down from Scott Wieland (STP) at a bar called the Alley Cat (folks from INDY should know that place, alot of firsts as far as bars go....used to be a good place to go before turning 21and Dickey (Mighty, mighty Bosstones) There may be pics of Dickey, partied for a while with those guys and there were folks taking pics. Forgot one, HC bumped into Robbie Knevil last year in Daytona really..BUMPED into him...HC had no idea who he was, I was like don't you know who that is?? Get out of his feckin way
Oh! Here I am with Daniel Lee Martin. He's got a show starting in April oncableOutdoors/Sportman Channel. (Sorry, don'tknow much about that cable lineups.) He's my best friend's cousin, and a hell of a musician. Been doing music in Nashville for years.
