I'd go for the hip holster. I got my concealed carry holster from www.highnoonholsters.com (excellent customer service too btw!), Hidden Ally model, and it's awesome! A friend of mine got his permit and I recommended that holster to him, and he loves it too! It's a tuckable under the shirt holster, and even my wife can't tell most of the time, and she knows what to look for!
I've been looking at a SOB (small of back) holster lately, I'd like that one. The only issue I'd have with a shoulder holster is that it basically requires you to keep your jacket on all the time, which in a place like here (Arizona), that's not the best thing when you get off the bike!
Oh and this is my 1000th post! WOOHOO!

"One thing to note about the PT111 Pro is that when you buy a holster, buy one for the PT145. When the new Pro series came out they made them thicker than the older series and holster companies have not made the switch yet. I found out the hard way and had to return the first holster that I bought and get one for the PT145. The PT145 was made thicker in the earlier series of pistols and so the new pistols will fit the holsters for the 145."
I don't know if that helps you or not, but there it is.
The gun dealer was saying something about that....THANKS

Here's something from a gun site:

Way to go on 1K. I had an SOB; it's no good if you do a lot of sitting. Take a look at older cops, there's nothing on the back of their belts. It hurts after a while, but if you'll be on your feet or only sitting intermittently, SOB's are pretty nice.
I have about every type of holster you can name. My shoulder holsters I don't use much out in the desert, up north they were fine. The shoulder holster does tend to shift when bending over, exposing it. I prefer a high-ride slide holster in FBI cant, strong side, or a SOB for smaller handguns, like my Sig 230 or S&W model 60. Try different holsters and see how they feel to you. I would start with the FBI cant first, very comfortable and fast draw.
