Georgiagirl, I didn't read your link, I'm just going off what the cop on the ABC evening news said. He said that in CA since the victim wasn't over 15 there was nothing they could do to the bystanders. I hope you are right, but it just didn't seem like the police were very interested in prosecuting them since they believed "there was nothing they could do to them".

I agree with jeff. If it were my daughter it would be shoot first and worry about what they would do to me later. And that includes the bystanders. They're just as responsible. We're supposed to look out for each other and anyone who won't is guilty too.

If the bystanders were egging them on they can be charged. If they were just watching they can't be charged.... sick stuff to know that people just stood there and watched.. very sick!

The scene from Sons of Anarchy comes to mind when they went to take care of a guy who raped the daughter of a friend citizen of theirs. Cut everything off - zip - they won't be needing it anymore. Wow...now I'm thinking crazy too!! What is THAT!! Like I said, it's hard to get man's inhumanity to man wrapped around my brain.
