I was looking into bikes that could feed my need for a little bit of speed. I tend to like to stick with 4 wheels when going fast but since I sold my 6.8L '04 GTO I've been itching for something to replace it that isn't as expensive.
I was looking around and realized that Yamaha released a new VMAX with 200HP. Really it seems like a good alternative to a VROD with a better riding position, more power, and still has an exotic look.
What do you all think? Has anyone seen one in person or been on one of the new ones?
I'm not looking for a corner carver just something to replace a muscle car.
I have to agree it is an awesome bike for what it is designed for, Trashing the 1/4 Mile, and since that is what you want just something to have fun on what's the hold up?
For the record the B-King is just as fun, I don't think either bike is pretty but that's not what I look for in this kind of machine.
And as much as I can appreciate all the improvements in the new bike I have to agree with the others I still like the look of the original better.
The last I read of the current V-Max in AMA magazine was that only 1,500 were going to be released into the American market with a MSRP of around $17K. It has 225-RWHP....Not crankshaft H-P but at the rear wheel!
Lead me not into temptation......Good God, I'd lose my license if I got on one!
