Don't forget when you are riding it you have to wear Flip-Flops, shorts, wife beater t-Shirt and a Full Face Helmet! j/k.
Actually that would be a cool bike to have. I borrowed a friends crotch rocket for a weekend once...speed was fun and handling great, just my back could not take it for long periods. I say get one!

Wow, he's still testing bikes in the quarter for the mags? How old is that guy now? It was over 20 years ago when I was into sport bikes that I remember reading his results in the mags. I purchased my GS1150E back in 86 because he kicked butt with it in the quarter. Remember when the Max first came out. Always was a sick bike...

My brother has an older Max along with a Heritage softie. That Max hauls serious ass.

I had a '93 v-max, and I loved it. They have the boost system. Ususally, under 5000 EPM, each carb feeds a cylinder. When the boost kicks in, 2 carbs feed a cylinder. Then, you think you've been towed by the spaceshuttle. I prefer the old style headlight, and on the old model, you really had to do something about the front end. I switched mine for a FZR upside down one. A really common change in Europe, almost every Max has it done. If you are looking for brutal power, that's the right bike. I'd say go for it, every day of the week, and twice on sunday.

That is the thing about this bike...you aren't hunched over and are in a standard riding position with mid controls.

Man - I can't believe nobody's flamed you yet!
I do think it is one bad Bike! The best thing is, it's their own style - no knock-off.
Yamaha actually invented this class!
I would imagine the handling is waaay better then the older version too.
200 Hp! Day-um! Go for it!!!!
