Default Orange County Choppers

Has anyone ever been to the Orange County Choppers HQ in Newburgh New York? Trying to decide if it's worth the ride up from New York City to check it out.

We rode to OCC from central Conn last fall for a "something to do ride".

Had a nice ride.

Large retail shop with plenty of OCC clothing and a smattering of other clothes. Quite a bit of parts too.

Quite a few Custom built bikes line the walls by the large windows a smattering of their "for sale" bikes.

Attractive young sales chippies, most sporting push-up wonderbras.

You can take a peek at the shop through the glass door.

We spent some time looking around at the stuff and bikes.

It was worth the ride but we probably won't go back.

As as an aside, there seem to be several OCC groupies hanging around.

When we were climbing on the bikes to leave one of the groupies came over and said "Too bad, Paul Sr just drove out of the parking lot."

My brother is pretty quick and shot back "Yeah too bad. Maybe Sr will get to see us if and when we come back."

If you're looking for a ride and need a destination you could do worse.

Thanks for the info. Going to be heading down to NYC sometime in the spring and was thinking of doing a one day rental and roar around the state somewhere. Figured that might not be a bad destination.

It's not a bad place. Worth the ride if you haven't seen the bikes. No matter what guys say about their craftsmanship, they are still cool to see, especially the kids.

Also, it's open on Sundays too. That said if your in the area and you need a quart of oil, or a battery, they have it there.

I've been passed it in the cage going down the Thruway, building is pretty damn impressive. I'd head up there one day... Why not??

We went last year in a group and had a good time. I do think the bikes are more impressive in person than on TV. They are building a resturant there as well, but I don't know when it will open. Worth a trip on a nice day.

I think there heads got to big. One year we went to Americade in lake george And the next town over they were there signing autographs and charging people for there sig I don't know about that. But it is something how they do build bikes though i would of rather see indian larry"s shop more the working man shop not commercialized

I went on a group ride from South Jersey to OCC. Most of the bikes that were built on the show were on display, except for the Fire bike. Empty spot. Looked at the price tags on the floor samples, laughed at the price. Nice diversion for a day, tho. BTW, you can have your picture taken with the OCC crew. Cardboard cut-outs and you stand in front of a "green screen" to blend you into the picture, for a fee, of course.

Hmm sounds like it would be worth the trip. How far from NYC? It says 68 miles or something on yahoo maps, but how long will that ride take?
