That looks nice, trouble is if you want to add back a signal light bar then it gets very crowded.

I did the same thing, along with the Drag Specialties laydown LED tail light.

Do you have a part number for that frame?

I did it on mine. Just get a license plate bracket and plate light from a street glide. Bolts right up.

Before.

After.

Night.

It looks like you put a few holes in your fender. How about the tail light lense without the plate light, got a part # on that?

Drag Specialties 2010-0773 Low profile LED lens with bottom tag window.

The license frame is a 3-bolt mount designed to fit HD models that have existing 3-bolt fixtures. Yes, I had to drill 3 holes to mount it but other than that everything was plug & play. I consider the frame to be permanent just like it would be if the bike was bought that way. If I ever decide to remove the frame I could replace it with any of the 3 hole covers made for it. The lens comes with a cable that plugs into the interconnect board in the tail light base.

BlueTK - I see you're from San Antonio. I'm in Austin, have a 13 FLHTK, and have been trying to sort out an option for this. What did you do with your inspection sticker?

I bought a Kuryakyn Inspection Sticker Plate, the 'Texas' size, item # 9162. On the 14 model it fit nicely in the empty saddlebag filler strip and isn't noticeable unless you walk up to the bike looking for it. I could probably do something to make that ugly bolt look better though.

I was told by more than one source that it's acceptable to put the sticker on the left side of the bike near the passenger foot board. I believe there's a bolt below, and slightly in front of, the foot board to mount a sticker plate. When I had it inspected a week ago the inspector told me he'd put the sticker anywhere I want. I don't know if that's valid or not but that's what he said.
