Default Saddlebag Wall Organizer

Decided to make a Saddlebag Wall Organizer. Went to Menards and picked up a bucket organizer and cut it in half. To make the top edge stiff I used a piece of 14/2 electrical wire and threaded it through a channel which was on the top edge. This also made it possible to bend it to the shape of the wall of the saddlebag. Since the bucket organizer was a little deep, I made several folds to shorten it up so that it would be the same depth as the saddlebag. As I did this, I nailed it to my work bench. I then removed each nail one at a time and inserted a plastic zig tie to hold the folds in place. I also used plastic zip ties to fasten the organizer to the wall of the saddlebag handing it from the lid loops. Several of the pockets in the bucket organizer were to small for what I needed so I used a knife and cut some of the pockets to make them larger.

Pretty cool! I actually bought the organizers from the MOCO and I indeed like them. Word of caution to you: As a fellow licensed sidearm toter myself, I would be very careful about riding with that stuff in the bags. The ride inside the bags is apparently brutal, as it seems everything I put in them falls to pieces at some point.. Tools, knives, air gauges, etc...Same with all my buddies...fold up allen wrench sets, etc....rough *** ride in the bags brother!

I did the same thing, but put holes in the fabric and hold them in with the saddlebag clips like the Harley ones mount. Pics here. Also, gun goes in the left bag... so you can shoot while riding!?

Hard call. On the one hand you can clutch down and rear brake stop. On the other hand you can throttle up and turn. Guess my next mod will be a center fairing mounted electric 7.62 X 39 belt gun. Sons of guns maybe. Can't really shoot behind myself anyway.

What Big Mike said... If I'm carrying my weapon, it's on me.
