14" Mayhems would be the minimum height to use stock fairing mirrors imho ! I will post a pic of my set up with 14' mayhems when I get back home.

I ordered the 10 3/4 MBB and they were to short so I went with the 14" and they are perfect for me. I an 5'6" with short arms.

 

I have 12" KST apes on mine in black. I also put them on a buddy of mine in chrome. I don't find it too big od a deal to look under my arm.

 

I removed the fairing mounted mirrors when I upgraded my inner fairing so I won't be looking under my arms. Never took a liking to fairing mirrors.

I had to buy new mirrors in Sturgis since some asshat knocked mine off and left a note with bogus info, so I flipped them upside down and enjoy them that way.


I will be running the same bars on my Wide Glide in the near future, but in 16" tall.

VT. Wow. $300 to drop the mirrors a few inches. Glad I just removed mine and plugged the hole with color matched hole cover.

 

I hate bringing up such an old thread but guys running the 14 in KST's on 15 SGS did you have to replace brake and clutch lines of were you able to get enough slack in the stock lines

 

Had to cut a couple zip ties, but still using the stockers. I wouldn't go any higher than the KST 14" with the stock cables, but you should have more than enough slack to get the job done.
