Welcome to the HDForum harley_charley from sunny Southern California! I hope that you enjoy it here. I was born and raised in Arlington, Virginia myself and I know first hand that there are plenty of great places to ride to in and around that area. Very scenic, especially at this time of year with the Autumn colors showing in the trees and all, and the humidity in not a real factor during the day now either. I used to like to take Balls Hill road up to Great Falls for a fun ride and you have got to take a ride across the Blue Ridge Parkway. Very Nice! As for your question about bike parts for your 1988 XL883, you also might try the after market suppliers like J&P and Drag Bike and the like for some of your parts needs. Hey, good luck and ride safe out there.
