Default 1936 Flathead Rebuild

Well, I ordered a gasket kit from 45 Restoration for the motor and tranny. But after talking to Warren at 45 restoration, I ordered the wrong set. So now I have to send this one back and get the right set.
He said that the motor is a 74" 1200CC.
The Motor # is 36VLD4240. So it is a 1936 Flathead. Was going to take parts to Oklahoma this week to have them hotdipped, but will wait till next week. Might as well, since I don't have the correct gasket set anyway. Be another week and a half for that. Still trying to get the rear hub and axle off. I really don't want to heat it up because the hub still looks good, but the rim is shot. I don't want to over temper the hub with heat. I just might have to take it and have it pressed out. I have a good friend who has a friend that paints, and said that he will get ahold of him to paint the bike when I am ready. (Discount there). So I can save a little money for something else. I also have a friend that works with leather and he said he will redo the seat for me as well. I thought this rebuild was going to be a pain in the arse. But it is comming together. Thank God for that. Well, hope everyone has a Safe Ride..... Ride Hard....Die Free.....
