Just got my firstHarley day before yesterday. An '05 Heritage Softtail. Little over 5400 miles and stone stock. Just changed oil (Mobil 1 synthetic 15w-50) and trans fluid (75-90syn gear). Go by Harley store in morning for a few other supplies. Just started riding again in July after a 25 year hiatus. Bought an old metric cruiser to see if I could ride again(shoulder surgery) then looked for a Harley. Never saw anything I really liked and ended up with another metric, but the siren song of the Harley was still in my soul. Walked into local Honda dealer for a gasket and there was this lonely Heritage sitting inside. Owner selling due to medical problems. Kept going back and made offer(turned down) and still there after 2 weeks. Came up a bit and they took it, so now I am the proud owner. Just in time for winter to hit. Maybe get to ride it two or three days before putting it up for the winter. Can't wait now till April, maybe snow will be melted by then!! Look forward to being a regular visitor here!!
