In 2004 i bought first street bike i had owned for past 3 yrs, was insured with usaa before so checked with them and they were astronomical. told me they werent in business to insure motorcycles. so started shopping around for rates Geico was considerably lower than anyone else so went with them. One year later got new policy and bill was almost doubled. I had no tickets or accidents, thought it was a mistake so called geico and they told me i got a special rate offered over the internet for that first yr. Instead of paying them more money i checked around and found progressive was lowest with within about 5 bucks of what they had quoted the year before when i first started looking. Each year since then my rate slowly was a little bit cheaper. Ill stick with progressive unless i hear a bunch of horror stories about making claims.
