Ok, Mine is off of a 17 CVO Street Glide. I always remove mine but I think they are required by law. Notice the dot stamp in the pic I posted above. Here is what I do to mine after removing the reflector. I use the red reflector license plate bolts. This bike had one above the light, I removed it.

The reflector is jut snapped on if you have a CVO. Otherwise it has 2 screws on it. You got to remove the light assembly from the fender to remove the reflector

Removing the reflector voids the power train warranty ... Just Saying ..

This is how mine is. And it looks like I'll have to crawl up the rear fender to unbolt the light bar in order to remove it.

That is correct.

Wait till you buy the curved license plate frame and do it all in 1 shot. Looks way better than with the flat plate

Electrical Tape will fix that right up! Electrical Tape is the often overlooked second cousin to Duct Tape and we all know how versatile Duct Tape is lol
