    So then we had the problem of the pins not holding in the latch and the trunk would pop open when I hit a bump. And the door was really hard to get closed. So we saw that the left pin was latching, but the right one wasn't. He took off the door panel and could see that the bracket that holds the two pins was also warped. So he took vice grips and pulled the bracket on the right to match the one on the left. VOILA!!! Door now shuts with just a little push and is really tight and so far no leaks!!!

    Hi,

    Hope you all are doing well. I am John Harris just south of Newport News about a hundred miles at Pinetown, NC. I rode my Tri Glide out to Topsil Isle and back yesterday opening the trunk several times ... that is where I keep the cooler. The last stop I found that the left trunk latch did not want to engage. I think I remembered you mentioning it several times and perhaps a fix...if I remember correctly can you direct me to the thread?

    Thanks for any help.
